Mountain West Commercial Real Estate is excited to announce one of our founders Ben Brown has been named Utah Business magazine’s 2021 40 Under 40. This award celebrates 40 business professionals who are working to evolve and grow the state of Utah’s business landscape. These individuals are ambitious, hardworking, and love the state they work in.
Ben began his career in commercial real estate in 2000. He spent the first year conducting research and publishing the Utah Retail Market Report. Conducting this market research, and then using the information to produce the report.
After dedicating himself full-time to brokerage a year later, Ben focused his time and efforts on the Intermountain Region investment and retail industry. In doing this he built multi-state exclusive representation for tenants as small as Starbucks to as large as Sprouts Farmers Market. This retail representation created a natural transition into the retail investment industry.
In 2009, Ben co-founded Mountain West Retail/Investment with partner Chad Moore, now known as Mountain West Commercial Real Estate.
Since 2011, Ben has completed over $2.4 billion in transaction value and the redevelopment of obsolete retail into over 3,500 units with strategic government and community participation.
It’s an understatement when we say Ben is a mover and a shaker, some wonder if he sleeps. He is ambitious and driven for his clients, passionate about commercial real estate, and helping tenants big and small, find a property that works for them.
