Ben Brown began his commercial real estate career with Commerce CRG in 2000. He spent the first year conducting research and publishing the Utah Retail Market Report for Colliers International. Conducting this market research, and then using the information to produce the report, created a natural transition into the brokerage community for Ben, and has provided him an understanding of the retail market that few in the industry have.
After dedicating himself full-time to brokerage a year later, Ben focused his time and efforts on the Intermountain Region investment and retail industry. In doing this he built multi-state exclusive representation for tenants as small as Starbucks and as large as Staples. This retail representation then created the platform into the investment and disposition industry.
This wide array of market knowledge for six states and disposition experience lead to the next venture in Ben Brown’s career which was a disposition consisting of 46 properties across the United States that was sold to one buyer who was found through his marketing efforts while at Commerce CRG.
In 2009, Ben co-founded Mountain West Retail/Investment with partner Chad Moore.
In 2011 Ben closed $126 Million of investment related deals and completed 56 lease transactions.
